JOB: Director of the Parr Center for Ethics, UNC Chapel Hill
The Department of Philosophy within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is searching for a tenured professor (Associate or Full) who also will become the Director of the Parr Center for Ethics.
We are searching for an accomplished philosopher working in moral theory and practical ethics, and the preferred start date is July, 2015. It is important that the candidate have proven administrative skills, a deep commitment to the mission of the Parr Center, and the ability to work collaboratively across schools and disciplines.

The Parr Center Director is a full member of the Philosophy Department, with a teaching load of 1 course per semester, undergraduate and graduate. The Director will also be involved in thesis supervision and have other standard non-teaching duties such as graduate and undergraduate mentorship and participation in the Philosophy Department’s vigorous intellectual life.
