Workshop Series - DIScourse

Summary

Graduate students Sabrina Leeds and Sara Purinton are co-organizing a Philosophy and Disability Workshop, called the DIScourse. Beginning September 1st, the DIScourse will meet on Thursdays from 11:30am – 1:00pm Eastern for the duration of the fall semester (the group will poll for a new day/time in the spring).

Graduate students Sabrina Leeds and Sara Purinton are co-organizing a Philosophy and Disability Workshop, called the DIScourse. Beginning September 1st, the DIScourse will meet on Thursdays from 11:30am – 1:00pm Eastern for the duration of the fall semester (the group will poll for a new day/time in the spring). The first 5 weeks will be spent reading Jasbir Puar's book, "The Right to Maim: Debility, Capacity, Disability." After that, the group will move to weekly discussions of presented works in progress.
